We went to a school picnic, and let the kids play! Ryland had a great time. We came home and had some cake and kept everything low key. Here is some pictures from tonight.

More Birthday fun

and......he sleeps through the night at least 2 times a week :) we are STILL working on that one.

I sure love this boy. He is my little challenge, but so worth it. He keeps me on my toes, and makes sure I don't waste anytime sleeping. I'm grateful for that, because I can get so much more done during the day. He is always smiling. When he is crying he likes to fake you out. He will cry for a 1/2 minute then out of the blue growl at you just to make you laugh. I can't wait to see him as a big brother!!

Great Deals left and right!
So lately, I have been working really hard to find fantastic deals on things we buy often. I have been following a few blogs, going to coupon sites, searching adds, and getting free samples in the mail because they come with coupons. I have actually been having a lot of fun. Now, I am sure that I haven't found all the deals around here, but yesterday I had to do my weekly grocery shopping. Usually I'll make our menu for the week, go online to see if I can find any coupons for the things on my list, and then check out the adds for the stores around me. Yesterday, I hit the jackpot!! Kellogg cereal was on sale at Hy-Vee for $1.58 a box. The coupons I happen to run into had $1 off 1 box of Kellogg cereal. So, if you do the math that is .58 cents a box!! My kids love cereal and we go through about a box and a half a week. So I ran down to Hy-Vee and loaded up the shopping cart with 11 boxes of cereal! The check out lady said to me "wow, you guys eat a lot of cereal." I just smiled and handed her my coupons, once I did that, I think she got it! I was really pumped! So now the pantry is stuffed with cereal. Today I realized that Jeremy had a laptop home and that I could print out more coupons and get more?!?! I think I might be addicted to great deals now!
Today, on a friends blog she posted about e.l.f makeup being on sale on their website. Everything (almost) was a $1! Now, I know that I don't buy makeup very often, but who could pass this up right? Jeremy had just told me about another site that actually came up with different promo codes for websites to give you discounts on your check out. Normal shipping was $6.95. I was excited and gave myself a $20 budget (including shipping) and filled my little cart. When I went to check out I remembered the website Jeremy told me about. So I went to check it out and found a whole list of promo codes for e.l.f. I ended up using the $2 shipping for $20 order. So I got to get 5 more things and still pay less! Happy Mothers Day to me!
***So I guess elf is always this cheap! I will let everyone know if the makeup is any good. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...
